Here are some tips to remember when taking measurements:

• Measure the height of the ceiling from the floor (to ensure your tall cupboards will fit).
• Check window & door measurements (take your measurements from the outside edge of the architrave on door and window.  How far is it from the corner of the wall and how high is it from the floor?
• Convert the measurements to mm.
• Mark on your plan the electrical points, gas points and plumbing.  (Show how far they are from the floor and corners)
