We have four fantastic kitchen displays in-store on the Talc St side.

The kitchen displays consist of the Principal range configurations from Hafele.  The laminate flooring options and the range of kitchen appliances both now in stock, show what can be included in a kitchen design.

Qualified team members can sit down with customers and design a kitchen based on their measurements and requirements; consult on benchtops, splashbacks, door styles, accessories and hardware (a fancy term for door handles etc); assist with the selection of appliances; provide a quote and organise delivery.  It’s an end to end service Globe Mitre 10 are proud to offer.

Here are some tips to remember when taking measurements:

• Measure the height of the ceiling from the floor (to ensure your tall cupboards will fit).
• Check window & door measurements (take your measurements from the outside edge of the architrave on door and window.  How far is it from the corner of the wall and how high is it from the floor?
• Convert the measurements to mm.
• Mark on your plan the electrical points, gas points and plumbing.  (Show how far they are from the floor and corners)

These are some kitchen components you may want to think about when designing your space.

Choose an interior design style, colour & texture.  Perhaps work out which part of your kitchen make a statement, then consider:

• Utilising cabinets- blind corners, hidden bins, accessories
• Drawers vs cabinets or both
• Hardware (handles etc)
• Island or peninsular?
• Exhaust fan / hood
• Sink & tap-ware
• Back splash
• Appliances
• Flooring
• Lighting

You may want to incorporate a study nook, a charging station for your electronic devices or a gorgeous wine rack or home for the cook books you want to display.
